The science-fiction novel “Laundry of Human souls” by Pitirim Sorokin was presented on the 20th of October in the Syktyvkar State University. The book containing the novel was published by the Center “Nasledie” with support of the Ministry of National Policy of the Komi republic.
Opened this presentation the director of the Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin O.Y. Kuzivanova. She told the audience how the idea of the presentation was born and about the novel itself which went a long way before publish as a whole. In her address O. A. Sotnikova, fulfilling duties of the Rector of the Syktyvkar State University after Pitirim Sorokin, congratulated guests with the publication, which allows evaluate literary talent of the famous sociologist. The professors and students of the University also shared their opinions about the novel.
The key point of the presentation was a surprise - an interesting performance based on the novel. It was prepared by the student¢s theatre “Sem plus” (the director - M.P. Afonasenko). Brightly and vividly the students moved the atmosphere of the novel to the stage. The hall welcomed young actors standing ovations.
