On the 10th of February 2018 marks the 50th anniversary of the death of the famous Russian-American sociological scientist, one of the founders of the theories of social stratification and social mobility - P.A. Sorokin.
In the summer of 2017, in Italy there was a book “Social and cultural dynamics: revisiting the work of Pitirim Sorokin”. The author of the work is Emiliana Mangone, Associate Professor of Sociology of Culture and Communication at the Department of Human, Philosophic and Education Sciences, University of Salerno (Italy). At the moment, this is the only book in a foreign language dedicated to this memorable date.
