On October 19, 2018 the new season of the debating club at the Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin was opened. The topic was “Priorities of modern youth: career or family?”
The fact that now it is important for modern youth was discussed by the 4th year students of the Komi republican academy of state service and administration Naiden Mikhail and Golodov Vladislav and the 3rd year students of the Institute of Humanitarian Sciences of the Syktyvkar State University after Pitirim Sorokin Suslova Natalya and Lapteva Elena.
The team of the Syktyvkar State University after Pitirim Sorokin defended the position “The priority of the modern youth is the family”.
Their opponents, the team of the Komi republican academy of state service and administration, conducted their own sociological research among the youth of Syktyvkar. According to the data of this research, self-realization and financial freedom were the priorities of young people.
The students of the Komi republican academy of state service and administration Naiden Mikhail and Golodov Vladislav won with the result 78:75. Both teams were awarded diplomas of participants. The students, who took part for the first time, also received brochures on the life and creative work of Pitirim Sorokin.
