On January 24, the Center “Nasledie” continued a series of lectures on the biography of Pitirim Sorokin at the Komi National Gymnasium. The pupils of the 10th grade got acquainted with the little-known pages of the biography of the famous sociologist and his family during the Second World War.
The pupils learned that when being away from their homeland, the Sorokins family actively supported Soviet citizens in the struggle against the fascists. Gymnasium students found out when Russian War Relief in the USA was established, and what its activities were.
At the end of the lesson, the pupils took an active part in the discussion and thanked the lecturer for the interesting lecture.
