Migration to Russia: what more, good or harm?

A regular meeting of the debating club at the Center “Nasledie” took place on the 21st of March, 2019. This time, there were teams of the Syktyvkar Forest Institute and the Komi Republican Academy of State Service and Administration. The topic of the meeting was «Migration to Russia: what more, good or harm?».



The team of the Syktyvkar Forest Institute, consisting of fourth-year students Svetlana Ilyina and Roman Dudko, defended the thesis that migration to Russia brings more benefits.


 


Their opponents – the second-year students of the Komi Republican Academy of State Service and Administration Alexander Serebryakov and Ilona Nikolaeva argued that migration to Russia brings more harm.


 


With a small margin of 4 points (78:74), the students of the Komi Republican Academy of State Service and Administration won. Both teams received certificates and memorable prizes.
