On August 7, the methodist of the Center “Nasledie” visited the Center for Continuing Education “Olympus” in Vylgort and met with schoolchildren, who spend their summer holidays there. The topic of the meeting was the childhood and student years of the famous scientist Pitirim Sorokin.
The children discovered a lot of new things - and the fact that Pitirim Sorokin was born in the territory of the modern Knyazhpogost district, and that he had a difficult childhood, and that despite this, he remembered the time spent in the Komi region with love and warmth until the end of his life. The schoolchildren learned why and when the future scientist joined the revolutionaries, as well as how it influenced his further life.
