Students of the Syktyvkar State University and Syktyvkar Forest Institute found out who is achieving great success in life – egoists or altruists

On November 14, 2019, the regular meeting of the debating club at the Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin was held. The topic of the meeting was “Egoists and altruists: what kind of people achieve more in life?”

 


The team of the Syktyvkar Forest Institute, consisting of the second-year students Ekaterina Lobanova and Sofya Ilyushenko, defended the position “Egoists are more achieving in life”.


 

 

 


Their opponents, the second-year students of the Institute of Humanitarian Sciences of the Syktyvkar State University after Pitirim Sorokin Nitchenko Andrei and Yuryeva Anastasia defended the position: “Altruists are more achieving in life”.

 

 

 

 


As a result, the team of the Syktyvkar State University after Pitirim Sorokin won with the score 88:73.
