International conference in Italy, dedicated to Pitirim Sorokin

 

On October 7, the International Conference “The Relevance of Pitirim A. Sorokin in the 21st century. From Crisis to the Rebirth of Humanity” took place in Narni (Italy).

 

 

The one of the organizers of the event was Emiliana Mangone, associate professor in sociology of culture and communication of the University of Salerno (Italy), director of the Narratives and Social Changes-International Research Group, editor of the Journal "Culture e Studi del Sociale" (Fisciano, Salerno, Italy). The conference discussed such issues as the life experience and ideas of Pitirim Sorokin, social and cultural dynamics and social mobility, P. Sorokin and social space. Also professor of the Syktyvkar State University after Pitirim Sorokin N. F. Zyuzev participated in the conference.
