State budget organization of the Komi republic “Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin”.

On November 25, 2014, in the school № 24 the methodists of the State Budget Organization of the Republic of Komi “Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin” held a lecture about childhood and student years of Pitirim Sorokin for pupils of the 10^th grade.

On November 28, the Director of the State Budget Organization of the Republic of Komi “Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin” Olga Yuryevna Kuzivanova will take part in the program “Case from Practice” on the TV channel “Yurgan”, where she will give information on the Center's activity.

We remind you that the State Budget Organization of the Republic of Komi “Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin”, upon prior request, conducts a series of mini-lectures for schoolchildren (9-11 classes) devoted to the biography and scientific views of an outstanding scientist.

On October 24, 2014, the methodists of the Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin made a trip to the school of Kortkeros. Within the framework of the class hour, the methodists of the Center told the pupils of the 9^th class about the life and creative work of Pitirim Sorokin.

On October 16, in the conference hall of the Finno-Ugric Center of The Russian Federation, a regular meeting of the debating club at the Center “Nasledie” was held. The main debate was about whether such a law is needed or not. Both teams represented the Syktyvkar State University. The team of the Institute of Social Technologies, consisting of Balanesky Kirill and Veretelnikova Viktoria, defended the thesis that there was no need to adopt this bill. The team of the Institute of History and Law Remezov Pavel and Shved Saveliy, on the contrary, urged the relevance of this bill.

On October 11, 2014, at the invitation of the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Komi to the President of the Russian Federation, the Director of the Center “Nasledie” O.Y. Kuzivanova and the methodist A.M. Kanev took part in Local History Compatriotic Readings.

State Budget Organization of the Republic of Komi “Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin” together with the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Komi announces the holding of a contest of research works on the topic: “War and revolution in the assessments of Pitirim Sorokin” in the framework of the scientific and practical conference “Young researchers - the Komi Republic”.

The methodists of the Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin were invited to the Technological Lyceum to conduct lectures about Pitirim Sorokin - a vivid example of a strong personality.

The Center “Nasledie” is pleased to announce a landmark event – the publication of the first two volumes of the Collected Works of the famous Russian-American sociologist Pitirim Sorokin. The first volume of the Collected works included the works of Pitirim Sorokin from 1910 to 1914, many of which were previously unknown to the general public. The second volume of the Collected works – the book “Hunger as a Factor” is known for its difficult fate. Written in 1921-1922, but destroyed by the Bolsheviks, the book was published only in 2003.

State Budget Organization of the Republic of Komi “Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin” together with House of Children’s Creativity (Usogorsk) organized a summer children’s ethno territorial expedition “Travel to the Homeland of Patrak”. The expedition was held from August 8 to 12, 2014.
