The Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin has released the next,12th volume of the Collected works of Pitirim Sorokin “Sociological Theories Today”. The book has been published in full in Russian for the first time.

On April 18, a regular meeting of the debating club at the Center “Nasledie” named after P. Sorokin was held on the topic “What is the engine of progress, egoism or altruism?” with the participation of the teams of the Institute of Humanitarian Sciences and the Institute of History and Law of the Syktyvkar State University named after Pitirim Sorokin.

On April 4, the Republican Olympiad “The life and creative work of P. Sorokin (to the 135th anniversary of his birth) was held. The organizer was the Center “Nasledie” named after Pitirim Sorokin, the co-organizer was the Institute of Humanitarian Sciences of the Syktyvkar State University named after P. Sorokin, on the basis of which the event was held.

On March 28, a regular meeting of debating club at the Center “Nasledie” was held on the topic: “Man and artificial intelligence: partners or rivals?” with the participation of the teams of the Syktyvkar Forest Institute and the Komi Republican Academy of State Service and Administration.

On March 28, the director of the Center ‘Nasledie” O. Yu. Kuzivanova spoke at the IX Interregional Scientific Conference “Nalimov Readings” with a report “Publication of the Collected works of P.A. Sorokin as a research project”.

On March 27, the Center “Nasledie” visited the Syktyvkar Forestry College again. The final conclusion of the series of lectures about P. Sorokin was the intellectual quiz game “Own game. Pitirim Sorokin”.

On March 25, the Center “Nasledie” continued a series of lectures about the outstanding sociologist P. Sorokin for students of the Syktyvkar Forestry College. This time, the guys looked in more detail at how P. Sorokin touched on the topic of revolution and war in his research, and also learned what contribution the Sorokin family made to the victory over fascism.

On March 20, the leading methodist of the Center “Nasledie” E. Maiorova visited the Syktyvkar Forestry College again and held two lectures for first-year students: about the life of P. Sorokin during the period of emigration and about his well-known theory of social mobility.

On March 12, the leading methodist of the Center “Nasledie” named after P. Sorokin E. Maiorova visited the secondary school no. 8 with a lecture “From war to peace: the contribution of the Sorokin family to the victory over fascism”.
