State budget organization of the Komi republic “Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin”.

On February 14, the Center «Nasledie» presented its publications at the exhibition as part of the first day of the XII Congress of the Komi People.

On February 11, the methodists of the Center «Nasledie» visited the secondary school no. 3 again with lectures about the life and creative work of Pitirim Sorokin.

On February 5, the traditional Sorokin Readings, dedicated to the birthday of the famous sociologist and our countryman Pitirim Sorokin, took place in Syktyvkar. The Round Table brought together scientists, representatives of educational organizations, statesmen and public figures, united by the topic of the meeting «Issues of education in the works by P.A. Sorokin: traditions and modernity». The organizer was the Center «Nasledie» after Pitirim Sorokin.

On February 4, on the birthday of Pitirim Sorokin, methodists of the Center «Nasledie» visited the secondary school no.3 with a lecture about the childhood and student years of Pitirim Sorokin.

From September 9, 2019 to January 17, 2020, the absentee Republican contest of research works was organized by the Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin. Schoolchildren and students discussed on the topic: “Marriage, family and love in the works of P. A. Sorokin”.

We are pleased to announce, that a new book of the doctor of philosophy of the Syktyvkar State University after Pitirim Sorokin N.F. Zyuzev «Pitirim Sorokin: teaching and life». The author of the work has been studying the scientific heritage of Pitirim Sorokin for many years. Since 2015, N. Zyuzev is a professor at the Department of Cultural Studies and Pedagogical Anthropology of the Syktyvkar State University after Pitirim Sorokin and heads the International Center of Social Research named after Pitirim Sorokin.

On December 5, we visited the secondary school no.38 (Syktyvkar) and held a lecture for ninth-graders about the childhood and student years of the famous sociologist, a native of Komi krai Pitirim Sorokin.

On November 18, on the base of the Central Library of Emva, the Regional Olympiad for schoolchildren of the Knyazhpogost district “The life and creative work of Pitirim Sorokin” was held. The organizers were the Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin and the Knyazhpogostsky Museum of Local History.

On November 14, 2019, the regular meeting of the debating club at the Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin was held. The topic of the meeting was “Egoists and altruists: what kind of people achieve more in life?”
