State budget organization of the Komi republic “Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin”.

On September 22, we visited the secondary school no.1 (Syktyvkar) and held a lecture for ninth-graders about the childhood and student years of the famous sociologist, a native of Komi krai Pitirim A. Sorokin.

We are pleased to announce the publication of the next issue of the journal “Nasledie” no. 1 (18), 2020.

The Center “Nasledie” announces the holding of the absentee Republican contest of research works on the topic: “War and revolution in the fate and works of P. Sorokin and K. Zhakov”.

The scientific and practical conference “The Republic of Komi is a territory of peace and harmony: history and modernity”, timed to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the foundation of the Komi autonomy, was held in Syktyvkar on August 20.

The staff of the Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin, commissioned by the Ministry of National Policy of the Republic of Komi, carried out a sociological survey within the framework of monitoring the situation in the sphere of interethnic and interconfessional relations in the region. Based on the data of the sociological survey conducted in all municipalities of the republic, the main conflict factors and the general state of interethnic relations are described.

The results are published in the brochure “Monitoring the situation in the sphere of interethnic and interconfessional relations, identifying risks and perceived conflicts in the Komi Republic for 2020”.

On June 24, Evgeniya Chipsanova, deputy director of the Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin, took part in the Regional Local History Readings dedicated to the memory of Olga Stepanovna Shlopova, the founder of the Museum named after Pitirim Sorokin in Turya.

On June 2, the Russian State Library in Moscow hosted the All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference “The Book North of Russia: historical and cultural dialogue”.

The jubilee, 30^th meeting of the debating club at the Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin was held on April 29, 2021.

The Republican Olympiad “The life and creative work of Pitirim Sorokin and Kallistrat Zhakov” was held on April 9, 2021.
