State Budget Organization of the Republic of Komi “Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin” announces the holding of the absentee Republican contest of research works on the topic: “Marriage, family and love in the works of P. A. Sorokin”.

The staff of the Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin, commissioned by the Ministry of National Policy of the Republic of Komi, carried out a sociological survey within the framework of monitoring the situation in the sphere of interethnic and interconfessional relations in the region. Based on the data of the sociological survey conducted in all municipalities of the republic, the main conflict factors and the general state of interethnic relations are described.

The results are published in the brochure “Monitoring the situation in the sphere of interethnic and interconfessional relations, identifying risks and perceived conflicts in the Komi Republic for 2018”.

On August 7, the methodist of the Center “Nasledie” visited the Center for Continuing Education “Olympus” in Vylgort and met with schoolchildren, who spend their summer holidays there. The topic of the meeting was the childhood and student years of the famous scientist Pitirim Sorokin.

On July 15, the methodist of the Center “Nasledie” held a lecture for schoolchildren vacationing at the Center for Continuing Education “Olympus” in Vylgort. The children learned about the childhood and student years of the famous scientist who was born and grew up in the Komi region.

On July 13, the Center “Nasledie” visited the 6th Interregional Festival of blacksmithing “Kort Aika”, which was held in Kortkeros. Despite the cloudy weather, the festival gathered numerous guests who were invited to participate in various master classes and competitions, as well as visit the traditional fair of guest yards.

On the eve of the All-Russian Day of Family, Love and Fidelity (July 8), the Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin announces the holding lecture “From war to peace: the contribution of the Sorokins family to the victory over fascism”.

The Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin is pleased to announce the publication of the regular volume of the Collected works of P. Sorokin – “Popular essays of the theory of law, sociology and social pedagogy”.

On April 27, the director and methodists of the Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin took part in the Republican Local History Conference “Ukhta – a launching pad in the development of the European North” (to the 90^th anniversary of the foundation of Ukhta), held in the Central Library of Ukhta.

A regular meeting of the debating club at the Center “Nasledie” took place on the 18^th of April, 2019. Teams of the Syktyvkar State University after Pitirim Sorokin (the Institute of Humanitarian Sciences and the Institute of Social Technologies) took part in the meeting. The topic was chosen: “Is there a “cult of the West” in Russia?”

On the eve of Victory day on May 9 and the International Family Day on May 15, the Center “Nasledie” announces the holding of a lecture “From war to peace: the contribution of the Sorokins family to the victory over fascism” from a series of lectures for pupils (grades 9-11) devoted to the biography and scientific views of the world-famous sociologist and our countryman Pitirim Sorokin.
