On October 18, we visited secondary school No. 9 (Krasnozatonsky) and held lectures on the life and creative work of Kallistrat Zhakov for students in grades 6-8.

On October 17, the new seventh season of meetings of the debating club at the Center “Nasledie” was opened. The topic of the meeting was, as always, relevant: “The Internet controls youth: is it true or myth?”. The teams of the Institute of Culture and Art of the Syktyvkar State University after Pitirim Sorokin and the Komi republican academy of state service and administration discussed on this topic.

On October 10-12, an important event dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the birth of the famous scientist Pitirim Sorokin was held in Syktyvkar. The International Scientific Conference «Pitirim Sorokin and paradigms of the global development of the XXIth century» (to the 130th anniversary of his birth) brought together Russian and foreign scientists who study the heritage of our countryman.

On October 7-8, the International Scientific and Educational Conference “Scientific Worlds of Russia Abroad” was held in the Moscow state-financed cultural institution Alexander Solzhenitsyn House of Russia Abroad. It brought together scientists who study the history of Russian emigration.

On October 9, on the eve of the International Scientific Conference «Pitirim Sorokin and paradigms of the global development of the XXIth century» (to the 130^th anniversary of his birth), Italian scientists Emiliana Mangone and Cimagalli Folco together with a professor of the Syktyvkar State University named after Pitirim Sorokin N.F. Zyuzev visited our Center.

On October 1, we visited the Syktyvkar State University named after Pitirim Sorokin with a lecture «The outstanding sociologist P.A. Sorokin» (to the 130^th anniversary of his birth). The listeners were the first-year students of the Institute of Social Technologies and the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology.

We are pleased to announce the publication of the next issue of the journal “Nasledie” No. 1 (14) for 2019.

On September 16, we again visited the Lyceum No. 1 (Syktyvkar) and held a lecture for fifth graders on the topic “Heroes of fairy tales by K. Zhakov”.

On September 13, methodists of the Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin introduced the students of secondary school No. 30 (Syktyvkar) with interesting facts about the biography and creative work of prominent scientists from Komi Krai Pitirim Sorokin and Kallistrat Zhakov.

On September 11, methodists of the Center “Nasledie” visited the Lyceum No. 1 with a new lecture “Heroes of fairy tales by K. Zhakov”.
