State budget organization of the Komi republic “Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin”.

On the 20^th of May, the Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin took part in the opening of the regional book fair “Alaya lenta” organized by the National library of the Komi Republic with the support of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Archives of the Komi Republic and the Ministry of National Policy of the Komi Republic.

The student's theatre of the Syktyvkar State University after Pitirim Sorokin “Sem plus” (the director – M.P. Afonasenko) took part in the regional stage of the All-Russian Festival "Russian Student Spring" in Syktyvkar from 19 to 20 April, 2018, with an interesting performance based on the novel by Pitirim Sorokin “Laundry of Human Souls”.

“The purpose of work: self-realization or benefit for society?” that was the topic of the regular meeting of the debating club at the Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin, held on the 26^th of April, 2018.

On the 24^th of April at the Ukhta State Technical University hosted a presentation of the book by Pitirim Sorokin “Laundry of Human Souls”, released by the Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin. Also there was shown a performance prepared by the student's theatre of the Syktyvkar State University after Pitirim Sorokin “Sem Plus”.

We regret to inform you that on the 24^th of April, Vladimir Alexandrovich Sulimov, Doctor of Cultural Studies, the Head of the Department of Cultural Studies and Pedagogical Anthropology of the Syktyvkar State University after Pitirim Sorokin, member of the editorial board of the scientific journal “Nasledie”, a well-known expert in the field of theory of culture, social cultural and pedagogical anthropology, the author of scientific articles and monographs, passed away.

On the 24^th of April at 12.00 in the congress hall of the Ukhta State Technical University (Pervomayskaya Street, 13) will be a presentation of the book by Pitirim Sorokin “Laundry of Human Souls”. Also there will be shown a performance, based on the novel, prepared by the student's theatre “Sem plus”.

On the 19^th of April, methodists of the Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin again visited the Humanitarian-Pedagogical College  after I.A. Kuratov and read two lectures on the topics: “Biography of P. Sorokin: emigration” and “Sociology of P. Sorokin: social mobility”. This time students of the 4th year listened the lectures.

Sergei Pitirimovich Sorokin, the youngest son of the famous sociologist Pitirim Sorokin, turns 85 years old today.

On the 6^th of April, in the Humanitarian-Pedagogical College after I.A. Kuratov students were awarded certificates for taking part in the Republican Olympiad «Life and creative work of Pitirim Sorokin». The Olympiad is held annually by the Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin together with the Institute of Humanitarian Sciences of the Syktyvkar State University after Pitirim Sorokin.

On the 5^th of April, the methodists of the Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin continued to familiarize students with the biography of an outstanding sociologist, our countryman Pitirim Alexandrovich Sorokin and read two lectures on the topics: “Biography of Pitirim Sorokin: childhood and students years” and “Biography of Pitirim Sorokin: revolution”.
