On the eve of the All-Russian Day of Family, Love and Fidelity (July 8), the Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin announces the holding lecture “From war to peace: the contribution of the Sorokins family to the victory over fascism”.

The Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin is pleased to announce the publication of the regular volume of the Collected works of P. Sorokin – “Popular essays of the theory of law, sociology and social pedagogy”.

On April 27, the director and methodists of the Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin took part in the Republican Local History Conference “Ukhta – a launching pad in the development of the European North” (to the 90^th anniversary of the foundation of Ukhta), held in the Central Library of Ukhta.

A regular meeting of the debating club at the Center “Nasledie” took place on the 18^th of April, 2019. Teams of the Syktyvkar State University after Pitirim Sorokin (the Institute of Humanitarian Sciences and the Institute of Social Technologies) took part in the meeting. The topic was chosen: “Is there a “cult of the West” in Russia?”

On the eve of Victory day on May 9 and the International Family Day on May 15, the Center “Nasledie” announces the holding of a lecture “From war to peace: the contribution of the Sorokins family to the victory over fascism” from a series of lectures for pupils (grades 9-11) devoted to the biography and scientific views of the world-famous sociologist and our countryman Pitirim Sorokin.

On April 8, the methodists of the Center “Nasledie” visited the Institute of Humanitarian Sciences of the Syktyvkar State University after Pitirim Sorokin and within the framework of the Interregional Scientific and Practical Youth Conference “Russian Politeia in the XXIth century: Internal and External Challenges” awarded two winners of the Republican Olympiad “The Life and Creative Work of Pitirim Sorokin” (to the 130^th anniversary of the birth).

The presentation of the Collected works by Pitirim A. Sorokin was held on the 5^th of April, at the Presidential Library after B.N. Yeltsin. This event was dedicated to the 130^th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Russian-American sociologist Pitirim A. Sorokin.

On April 3, the methodists of the Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin visited the Technical Lyceum and held two lectures for eight grades on the topic “Pitirim Sorokin about war and revolution”.

On March 28, one of the traditional youth events of the Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin was held – the Republican Olympiad “The Life and Creative Work of Pitirim Sorokin”, dedicated this year to the 130^th anniversary of the famous scientist. It was held at the Institute of Humanitarian Sciences of the Syktyvkar State University after Pitirim Sorokin.

A regular meeting of the debating club at the Center “Nasledie” took place on the 21st of March, 2019. This time, there were teams of the Syktyvkar Forest Institute and the Komi Republican Academy of State Service and Administration. The topic of the meeting was «Migration to Russia: what more, good or harm?».
