On October 12, the methodist of the Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin Ekaterina Maiorova continued to acquaint pupils of secondary school No.3 with the biography of a famous scientist, our countrymen Kallistrat Falaleevich Zhakov, after giving a lecture on the topic: “The life and creative work of Kallistrat Zhakov”. This time listeners of the lecture were schoolchildren of the 11th grade.

On October 9, the Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin conducted a visiting Regional Olympiad for schoolchildren of the Ust-Vym district “The Life and Creative Work of Pitirim Sorokin” in the Secondary School of Aikino.

On October 10, pupils of the 10^th grades of the Komi National Gymnasium continued their acquaintance with the creative work of the famous writer and ethnographer Kallistrat Zhakov. This time, the methodists of the Center “Nasledie” told the children about the author's famous poem – the fabulous “Biarmiya”.

On October 8, in the school № 3 (Syktyvkar), the methodists of the Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin gave two lectures about famous scientists, well-known people from the Komi Region – Pitirim Alexandrovich Sorokin and Kallistrat Falaleevich Zhakov for two 9^th grades.

The Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin announces the publication of the regular issue of the journal “Nasledie” No.1 (12) for 2018.

On October 1, the methodists of the Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin met with the first-year students of the Institute of Humanitarian Sciences of the Syktyvkar State University after Pitirim Sorokin. Students who just entered in the university were interested in finding out what the scientist is famous for and how he is connected with our republic –Evgenia Chipsanova, the methodist of the Center “Nasledie” , told the first-year students about this, giving a lecture on: “P.A. Sorokin is an outstanding sociologist of the XXth century”.

On September 20, the methodists of the Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin conducted a lecture on the topic “Life and creative work of Kallistrat Zhakov” in the Komi National Gymnasium. The listeners were pupils of two 10^th grades.

The Deputy Director of the Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin Alexey Kimovich Konyukhov took part in the Fifth Nalimov Readings that took place on September 13 in the Museum of History and Culture of Syktyvdinsky District. A.K. Konyukhov made a report on the topic: “Projects for the popularization of the heritage of outstanding people from Komi region”.

On September 13, the Director of the Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin Olga Yuryevna Kuzivanova spoke at the Syktyvkar State University with a lecture on the life and creative work of the outstanding sociologist of the XX century Pitirim Alexandrovich Sorokin.

State Budget Organization of the Republic of Komi “Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin” announces the holding of the absentee Republican contest of research works on the topic: “Komi region in the fate and works of Pitirim Sorokin” (to the 130^th anniversary of his birth).
