State budget organization of the Komi republic “Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin”.

According to the tradition, on the eve of the birth of our countryman Pitirim Sorokin on February 3, Sorokin readings (Round table), organized by the Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin, were held. In 2016, 150 years have passed since the birth of our famous countryman, Kallistrat Falaleevich Zhakov, so this year the Round table brought together issues related to the creative work of both thinkers, and the topic was as follows “The Man in the Sociocultural Picture of the World by Pitirim Sorokin and Kallistrat Zhakov”.

From September 15, 2015 to January 18, 2016, State Budget Organization of the Republic of Komi “Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin” within the framework of the scientific and practical conference “Young Researchers to the Republic of Komi” conducted an absentee Republican contest of research works on the topic: “Altruistic love and its importance for world progress in the understanding of Pitirim Sorokin” among students of educational institutions of the Republic of Komi.

The acceptance of works for the contest of research works on the topic: “Altruistic love and its importance for the world progress in understanding of Pitirim Sorokin” is completed.

On December 18, in the Information and Education Center “Russian Museum: a virtual branch” of the Syktyvkar State University after Pitirim Sorokin was the presentation of the monograph by I.E. Fadeeva and V.A. Sulimov “The Anthropology of Pitirim Sorokin: Paradoxes of Integralism”, and also there was the presentation of the story by V.A. Sulimov “Closed Circle” (“ART” journal № 4, 2015).

On December 9, the presentation of Pitirim Sorokin's book "Crime and Punishment, Feat and Reward", published by the Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin in the framework of the preparation of the Collected works of Pitirim Sorokin, took place in the House of Friendship of Peoples of the Komi Republic.

On November 26, 2015, the regular meeting of the debating club at the Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin took place. The topic was chosen uneasy and very relevant: “Is society progressing?”.

On November 20 and 21, in the Syktyvkar State University after Pitirim Sorokin, lectures were given by Associate Professor of the Department of Theory and History of Sociology of the St. Petersburg State University Marina Lomonosova.

On November 18, the staff of the Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin together with professors and students of the Komi republican academy of state service and administration held the presentation of the third volume of Pitirim Sorokin's Collected works - “Crime and Punishment, Feat and Reward”.

The Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin has been working on the publication Pitirim Alexandrovich Sorokin's Collected works for the last two years. This is a painstaking and very interesting work, the results of which are well-designed volumes that bring to the reader the thoughts of the famous sociologist.
