State budget organization of the Komi republic “Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin”.

On February 20, in the Syktyvkar State University there was a discussion on the topic “The idea of altruism of Pitirim Sorokin and modern youth”, organized by the university and the Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin.

On February 13, the methodists of the Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin held a lecture for pupils of the Komi Republican College of Culture named after V.T. Chistalev, dedicated to the biography of Pitirim Sorokin.

On February 7, 2014 the methodists of the Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin visited a literary and musical evening dedicated to the 125^th anniversary of the birth of P.A. Sorokin “Everything began in the North of Russia…”, which was held on the basis of the Knyazhpogost District Center for National Cultures.

On February 4, 2014 in the small hall of the State Council of the Republic of Komi, a presentation of the publications of the Center “Nasledie” was held.

On February 3, 2014, in the National Museum of the Republic of Komi the opening of the photo exhibition “The Life Path of Pitirim Sorokin” from the Sorokin family archive was held. The organizer was the Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin.

On January 21, 2014, there was held the awarding of the winners of the contest of research works on the topic “Pitirim Sorokin on Russia and the Komi Region” among pupils of educational institutions of the Republic of Komi as part of the closing scientific and practical conference “Young Researchers to the Komi Republic”.

Within the framework of the scientific and practical conference “Young Researchers to the Republic of Komi” the contest of research works on the topic “Pitirim Sorokin on Russia and Komi Region” was held among pupils of educational institutions of the Komi Republic. 44 students from 24 educational institutions took part in the contest.

The quiz, dedicated to the life and creative work of Pitirim Sorokin, was held from October 8 to November 30, 2013 among pupils of schools in Knyazhpogost District.
