State budget organization of the Komi republic “Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin”.

The Center “Nasledie” represents the third volume of the Collected works of Pitirim Alexandrovich Sorokin – “Crime and Punishment, Feat and Reward”.

As part of the monitoring the situation in the sphere of interethnic relations for 2014, the Center “Nasledie” monitored the situation in the sphere of interethnic and interconfessional relations, identifying risks and perceived conflicts for 2014. Based on the data of the sociological survey conducted in all the municipalities of the republic, the main conflict factors and the general state of interethnic relations are described.

On June 29, 2015 in Krohal V Republican youth educational forum “Innovatika: Krohal 2015” was opened. Over 5 days more than 400 participants, experts and volunteers from all cities and districts of the republic actively worked at 13 educational platforms. This year, one of the platforms of the youth forum was held under the slogan: “We are together” and was dedicated to strengthening interethnic peace and harmony in the Republic of Komi. Activities within the the framework of this program were prepared jointly by the Ministry of National Policy of the Republic of Komi, the House of Friendship of Peoples of the Komi Republic and the Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin.

2015 is declared the Year of Patriotism in the Republic of Komi. The leading conceptual setting of events that fill the Year of Patriotism is the understanding of Russian patriotism as a spiritual guide and the most important resource for the development of modern Russian society.

The works of our outstanding countrymen – V.P. and V.V. Nalimov, K.F. Zhakov, P.A. Sorokin abound in beautiful ideas that do not become obsolete and can be actualized in modern times. The Komi republican institute for the development of education together with the Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin is launching in 2015 a contest of creative projects among pupils and teachers “Komi Land Thinkers: reading in the new way".

We bring to your attention a note by a researcher from St. Petersburg, Marina Lomonosova, dedicated to the preparations for the elections to the All-Russian Constituent Assembly. The researcher from St. Petersburg, Marina Lomonosova, published the article “The Russian contribution to world sociology: comprehension and actualization of the scientific heritage of P.A. Sorokin in the 21st century”, which is devoted to the scientific creative work of P.A. Sorokin, considered in the context of the development of modern sociological knowledge. The article reflects the main results of Russian studies of creative work of P. A. Sorokin, paid much attention to the contribution of the Republic of Komi to the work on the preservation and integration of the theoretical heritage of P.A. Sorokin. On 24^th of April, at the Technological Lyceum, lecture for 9 and 10 grades on the topic “From war to peace: the contribution of the Sorokin’s family to the victory over fascism” took place.

On the 23^rd of April, in Gymnasium № 1, the awarding of the winner and participants of the Republican Olympiad “Life and creative work of Pitirim Sorokin” took place.

On the 22^nd of April, in the National museum of the Republic of Komi, the opening of the exhibition “From war to peace: the contribution of the Sorokin’s family to the victory over fascism” was held. The exhibition is timed to the 70th anniversary of the victory of the USSR in the Great Patriotic War. The organizer is the Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin. The exhibition is based on the materials of the book of P.P. Krotov and A.Y. Dolgov “From war to peace: in the origins of the theory of creative altruism”, includes photos from the Sorokin family archive and free Internet sources.

On the 21^st of April, in the Technological Lyceum, the methodist of the Center “Nasledie” after Pitirim Sorokin E.A. Chipsanova conducted a lecture for two 8 classes on the topic: “From war to peace: the contribution of the Sorokin’s family to the victory over fascism”.
